Al Ringling Theatre

The Al. Ringling Theatre has been called "America's Prettiest Playhouse" by the League of Historic American Theatres. Built in 1915 at the cost of $100,000, the theatre was built by Al. Ringling, the eldest of the famous Ringling Brothers, as an expression of gratitude to the Baraboo Community. Owned and operated since 1989 by the Al. Ringling Theatre Friends, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, the theatre continues to present movies, live professional touring artists and community events. A circus owner tries to keep his financially troubled circus on the road, despite the efforts of a murderous saboteur who has decided that the show must not go on. This movie premiered at the Al. Ringling Theatre on July 1, 1959. The premiere coincided with the opening of Circus World.
